What to Expect-
We keep the session focused and practical. Each setup is demonstrated first, then you shoot it, then we refine it together until it clicks. No rushed chaos, no random theory.
-
With only five participants, everyone gets time to shoot and ask questions. The group vibe is supportive and relaxed, and you will learn from seeing others shoot too.
-
We shoot portraits every day, so we know what works fast. You will get clear direction on light, posing, and expression, plus real time fixes that instantly improve your results.
-
This is a safe place to practice photographing people. If you feel shy about directing a model or unsure about light, that is exactly why this session works. We guide you through it gently.
-
After the session you get a simple lighting cheat sheet so you can repeat the setups. If you want, you can also send a couple of images you made and we will point you in the right direction.
A simple flow that keeps things moving, with plenty of shooting time and a short break.
-
Coffee, quick hello, and a short overview of what we will build together. We check what you shoot with and set you up for the first daylight setup.
-
Daylight session with the model. You will learn how to place your subject, how to read shadows, and how to get a flattering look quickly. You shoot, we adjust, you shoot again.
-
Participants will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks throughout the day.
A short break to reset. Bring something easy. We also take a moment to review images and answer questions.
-
Studio lighting time. We build a clean soft setup first, then explore variations so you understand how mood changes. This is where portraits start looking intentional and consistent.
-
Small group, clear structure, and a calm studio vibe. You will shoot a lot and leave with results you can actually use.
